DLC Maps
If you're running on the Steam version, your game doesn't have 3 DLC maps. These are:
- Kola Cell
- Vselka Infiltration
- Vselka Submarine
They are only included up from patch 1.3, which all other digital retailers have, but for some reason Steam is a notable exception. If you'd like to run DLC% or any of these levels individually, you will need to get them… from here!
Installation
The zip folder included in this resource contains 3 folders — maps, Sounds, and system.
In them, you'll find files & folders that you'll need to copy into your game directory's corresponding locations. To be more specific:
- Files under "maps" go into the "maps" folder of your game files
- Folders under "Sounds" go into the "Sounds" folder of your game files
- Folders under "system" go into the "system" folder of your game files
Sound files, loading screens and in-game text are available in all official languages (including German!) Once you're done, launch the game and the 3 DLC maps (Kola Cell, Vselka Infiltration and Vselka Submarine) should appear in your levels list.
What about earlier disc (retail) versions?
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell has seen numerous patches over its release period. Here's a list of all patches:
- Patch 1.0/Pre-1.2 — original release, broken DRM, broken Defense Ministry laser mic
- Patch 1.2 — various fixes + fixed Defense Ministry laser mic
- Patch 1.2b — fixed benchmarking tool
- Patch 1.3 — DLC maps and various fixes.
A lot of the disc versions either come with 1.2 or 1.3, but some older discs may have run on an older version. If you had to bypass the broken SafeDisc DRM on your installation, chances are, your version is pre-1.2.
Unfortunately, this drag-and-drop method will not work with pre-1.2 patch retail versions due to internal file differences and more missing components. Please consider visiting this page of PC Gaming Wiki where you can find options to upgrade your game version to patch 1.3.

In response to community feedback, we now permit PC runners to skip the introductory cutscene and lights tutorial. Together, they last around 2 minutes on every reset, but don't add any significant gameplay value.
