I think genesis version deserve more respect. And this also may be done adding new category - the one that faster (13-14 minutes) and easier to start from.

I dont think it makes sense to stop the game in the middle before beating it. I respect your idea but it seems wrong to stop in the middle of the game. The other versions stop because the game ended, if it would continue in the other games it would be also a bigger category there.

It's just an easier and faster category to start from. Also familiar for nes/arcade players. Of course they will finish 51-70 levels as well. But to get used to speedrun - 50 levels may be more desirable. Just before 'Girls cutscene'. With 70 levels as the next category to run. That's the point.

Look how this poor Capcom port has much more players. And Genesis one, being the best 'Snow Bros', has no love among players fsr. Maybe because of higher difficulty/longevity?

Some agreed that 50 stages category is needed and left it for now. Usually shorter categories attract more people at 1st. And refresh the game with new runners. So its on your decision now. if you like the game being dead or not.
