Emulators are banned

Is there any chance that this position gets revised? I am interested in this run, but my PS2 broke and I do not own a PS3, so I would like to use an emulator.

I don't make the rules so I can't comment on that front; but even with emulators banned, you could still do runs and just not submit them. There's nothing stopping you, but I can understand not wanting to do that if you're a bit of a competitive person.
