Idk where else to post this so I decided to post it here
Also this has only been tested on PS2 so I'm not sure about the viability of it on PC
Ok so first off, you complete the first 2 rounds of Russian Rampage, Nothing special there
When you go to the board for the 3rd round however, go back to the workshop and the go back to the board to start the bout
If done correctly, there will actually be 4 robots instead of 2
Next step is to win the bout, do be warned however, as being immobilized, even when you're the only one standing will crash the game when the bout ends
When you get to the 4th round, it shows only 1 robot on the board
Start the bout, then you should see just the 1 robot sitting there, however, DO NOT pause and press ''end bout'' because that crashes the game too, just wait there until the match ends
If done correctly, it should say ''qualified'', but instead of taking you to the final bout, it just ends the contest and says that you won and gives you the trophy and cash
This should save about like, a minute??? Idk, whatever it is, it's a pretty big time save
EDITORS NOTES:
- This trick is probably gonna be banned but whatever
- I think this trick works with Robot Wars Championship Tournament, needs testing first
If that strat does work on pc if definitely won't be banned, that's a cool glitch for sure, I wonder how many other tournaments this kind of strat would work on 🤔
Gave it a go on PC, game crashes. I tried not ending the battle early still crashes, I also tried eliminating 2 opponents leaving one left. This might be a PS2 exclusive thing or specific to the patch of the game that's on PS2. Might be worth it for PS2 runners even with the long loading times if this can be done on other tournaments.
Idk it depends on how many tournaments are eligible for this glitch, I'll do some testing first, then I'll let ya'll know
Hopefully Chaos 2 doesn't break down for the 88th time while testing LUL
Alright I've tested all the tournaments...
Only Russian Rampage works it seems A decent time save for sure, but with the PS2 moving slower than old porridge, this ain't gonna make PS2 viable, chief
After a year I hopped back onto my PS2 to test this out again, and now it's suddenly not working
Game just crashes once the bout ends, not sure why it worked beforehand and now it's crashing, most likely some RNG magic macguffin
Ah well, just a very risky strat if your PS2 run is going poo I guess lol
