How to run the "Pre Patch 30" & "Egg Hunt 2020" categorys.

Unfortunately for now the version of the game required to do the "Pre Patch 30" category is only available on Windows.

Playing old versions of the game will break your save file by removing things added in later versions of the game, so please make a backup first. This does not apply for the Egg Hunt.

Go to your "Documents" folder on your pc and look for a folder called "SavedGames", inside that folder is a folder called "Murder Miners" enter it as well as the folders "MurderMinersSaveData" and then "Player1".
Inside this folder is a file called "player_save", please make a copy so that you can revert back to it later.


Go to Steam right click Murder Miners and click "Properties".
Under the "Betas" tab and enter the code "update29speedrun" or "egghuntevent" depending on which category you want to run and click the drop down menu to switch the version of the game you are using.

The game should update and you can begin your speed run, keep in mind that these versions of the game do not have a built in timer so you're going to need to do that outside of the game.

Remember to switch back to the current version of the game and restore your save file when you are done.

Murder Miners Zombie Basics

-- Pick either pistol, BR or mining gun/sentry - others run out of ammo too fast.
-- Try to chain kills together
-- Zombies spawn opposite side of where you are on the map
-- Zombies have a short spawn protection when they spawn
-- Aim for headshots only
-- If you're using the sentry try to place it in a spot where it will do the most damage like in the middle of the map or zombie spawn
