The new rules are as follows, these apply for all the runs in this game:

Beat the game with the true ending.

Macros and binding multiple actions to a single input is prohibited.

Before starting your run, the screen with your keyboard bindings has to be fully visible for at least 1 second even if you are not using keyboard to play. Alternatively, you can show your keyboard bindings in the options menu once you have entered NG+ before exiting back to the file select menu.

After completing the game, you can go through the initial dialogue in NG+ before returning to the main menu to check your IGT. Getting IGT is not required, but recommended.

These rules are put into place in order to make sure to reduce the chance of anyone wanting to submit a time to binding multiple functions to a single input. If you would like, you can also use an input viewer to reduce the likeliness of someone suspecting you of cheating.

Question: Is binding one action to multiple buttons against the rules? I use both L2 and O on my PS1 pad for arrows in casual play because each button has its own advantages and disadvantages.

The rule only applies to binding two or more keys to one button, it does not apply to binding a single key to different buttons.
