I want to start doing speedruns but I don't know if I'm able to use lunar client. The only reason why I'm asking this question is because playing Minecraft from the normal Minecraft launcher makes the game lag to the point where it is unplayable. But with Lunar, the game is smooth and actually playable.

Lunar Client is not allowed because it has OptiFine, which is a mod that is banned from speedrunning.
From my experience, the allowed fps boosting mods get close to lunar, you should be fine
No mods are allowed, guys, so no modded clients and launchers. Use Minecraft's official launcher. :D
