Making an account

You will first need to make an account at **racetime.gg **

Then go into settings and connect your twitch account with your ractime.gg account

Then you either join a race or you make one. ( if you make one you normally also join it but whatever)

#Joining a race

Go to your livesplit and rightclick it . Then go to "racetime.gg Races" and click on "Karlson" (only possible if there is a race already ofc)

If you do this for the first time a window like this should pop up.

Once you authorize livesplit you wont need to redo this.

You should see something like this now.

Simply click join race and click "Ready" if you are ready. Thing is we aren't fully done .

Right click the timer again and change compare to to RTA if you don't have that already

#Autosplitter

If you wanna use the Autosplitter in your races you need to change a few things so you don't mess anything up.

Just go back to your timer and right click it and go into "Edit Splits...". Now click on Settings under the Autosplitter section.

Just untick the box "reset" .This won't reset the timer if you fail at tutorial, as doing so will disqualify you from the race . so not too smart having that box on on.

Ok that's it .. not too much

#streaming

if you join a race made by a non mod you will need to stream to be able to join

simply ...start streaming on twitch and turn on "Store past broadcasts" (in channel settings)

So i can verify later that you did'nt cheat while racing. This should make you able to join any race . just be sure your twitch account is connected with racetime.gg

#making a race

Just go to the Karlson page of racetime.gg **here ** and click on "start new race" then select a category and if needed change a few other things.

only moderators can turn off the "Streaming required" option. Now just simply join like you would normally and have fun.

#what to expect

A countdown will appear once all racers are ready ( in the window you also clicked the "ready " box. after that your Livesplit timer will start automatically. You can reset when the timer starts or just select the tutorial, that doesnt matter. if you have autosplitter on you dont need to split at all and can just play the run like normal. Resetting the timer will disqualify you though. if you dont have the autosplitter on you will need to split manually DUh. thats pretty much it if you finish the run the racetim.gg window will automatically display your time in the chat and announce the places. The runs will only be on the leaderboard if i verify them so please have store broadcast on so i can watch it
