Hi all,

It is a sad, sad day in the Baldur's Gate 3 sex speedrunning community. Due to Patch 4 significantly changing Lae'zel's romance requirements, any runs performed on Patch 4 and above will never* be able to beat runs performed before the patch. As a result, the category is now split into two separate subcategories: Pre-Patch 4 and Patch 4+.

Going forward, run submissions should be submitted in the proper subcategory depending on your game version. Pre-Patch 4 runs will require downpatching your game, instructions for which can be found online.

Difficult as these times may be, we will persevere. Sex will live on.

As it says in the title, we've renamed the Any% No Gale category to Any% All Acts. Given that this is how almost everyone has been referring to the category outside of the leaderboards, it only makes sense to update the category name to reflect that. Everything else regarding the category is otherwise unchanged.

We will be adding all the romanceable characters to the sex% misc category soon. Sex% by itself will still be the main category, where you can attempt to romance any character (and Lae'Zel is still proving to be the fastest). Lastly, we're still looking into exact timing options for when the competition gets more and more tight (no pun intended).

The Sex% category has proven to be quite popular. We've all seen how Lae'zel is like the Usain Bolt of jumping into bed. So the "Any% sex" is a 2-minute run to Lae'Zel (which is insane).

It's possible to add all characters as misc (click the arrow above "submit run") under the Sex% category. The question is, should we do it? Or should we slowly introduce more characters in the misc category to not overflow the misc category and to concentrate the competition? Please vote!

After 517 votes, the answer is clear: with 417 Sex% votes and 100 Romance% votes, the category will be named Sex% going forward.

Given the recent coverage of the leaderboards, a lot of outlets have taken to calling the Romance% category "Sex%", and in my experience that's what a lot of players are calling it on social media. I hope you've all been enjoying full release as much as I have! Because this game had zero active moderators and was stuck in its Early Access state, I submitted a support ticket to request super mod that's now been approved. I've archived the Early Access runs and opened three new categories:

Any%

Exactly what it sounds like: reach the end credits as fast as possible, anything goes.

Any% (No Gale)

Same as Any%, but you can't use Gale to end the game early in Act 2. Theoretically this means the run is significantly longer due to the need to defeat Ketheric and play through Act 3.

Bear%

The people have spoken in the forums and I am bound to represent their will. Bear% is real. I am absolutely terrified to see what you people come up with.

My Goals as Moderator

Power to the people baby. I'm just here to facilitate things getting done without it being chaos. If the community wants change, write it up in a forum thread and I'll see what I can do.
