The game is an absolute blast. I played the translated version about ten years ago and revisit it every so often. It plays like Fire Emblem but with Dragons . You can also raise your Dragons into what you like, with LOTS of variety. It doesn't have any connection to the Final Fantasy series but is great on its own. I strongly recommend playing it at least casually.
