When reading the rules, i noticed that there was "must start in amethyst mountain." since the wolfquest speedrun site was made, the game can be played fully in amethyst and slough creek. I was just wondering if there were plans to update the rules to just say "must start fresh on new save file" excluding the whole "must start on amethyst then move to slough creek" thing or if that's just an unsaid rule that just went as the game updated.
As for the category idea, tying with the newest update, you can disband a pack, so maybe disband% could be a thing :D
Hello! Sorry for the late response.
I am aware of the new ways to complete the game, however, due to the rather small amount of runners and the fact there hasn't been any new runs in over a year I don't currently find it nessecary. It simplifies verification significantly and removes the need for extra categories.
The rules were updated today to ones that are better-written and more comprehensible, hopefully that clears up the confusion around maps. All individual categories state the map that is to be used as well as if pre-made wolves are allowed, however, fresh save files are required regardless of category.
Disband% could be an interesting category, if the game picks up speedrunners again I might add more categories like that, but unfortunately and as stated previously, there just aren't any active runners of Wolfquest anymore.
Thank you!
Hi, just found this and am curious to try. To do the run, we need to find a mate on AM then trek to SC? Or can we stay on the map we met on? Because the new 3.0 version doesn't automatically move the player. Or am I just misunderstanding?
Hi !!! Currently, the run must begin on Amethyst Mountain and you can exit to the main menu to then teleport to Slough Creek to continue run.
Is there a way we could put the maps thing to a vote? I know I can't submit runs through Rumble and all, but it seems other people who might be interested in running would like other maps to start on.
The rules have been adjusted to allow Any% to be run on exclusively Amethyst Mountain.
Fixed a few rules mistakenly telling players to stop time at the "You've Grown Your Pups!" popup instead of the "Congratulations!" one.
