oh wow how speedrunning has evolved
(oof forgot wait sorry for huge necropost)
lol that is rip
use E2> M+C to determine whether a bastion exists cause bastions give off extra piglin that do not belong in the M or C group in f3, so if E2 is 30 larger than M+C you know there is a bastion
bit vague sorry idk how to explain well
oh i use it, its fine, motionNO disables FOV effects, like dynamic fov in optifine
good for if you want to play quake pro and be able to sprint without seeing like a million fov
oh just saying btw sodium fullbright is not allowed gamma 5 is max and it is not part of sodium
Nevermind, found an extension of Obtain "postmortal" advancement, kinda sucks cause I got the totem at 1:27 but saved it for RSG and used it at 2:27....
Still WR by 3 minutes though so guess I just wait for verification
Idk would be fun, another rare item to reset for lmao
also because i just spawned next to a woodland mansion and killed evoker and got totem in 1:38 :p
lols nvm it doesn't really matter could be cool i guess
just saying to the "OOF that really sucks. That could have been top ten 🙁" top ten is really a grind now, all sub 15 so rip
edit: like what i mean was 15:40 wouldn't be top 10, top 30 though which is still insane
tip to learn: next time if you are at the end and have an enderman aggro on you and you dont have a water bucket for some reason, tower up a few blocks against the bedrock pillar (3 blocks i think) and then when the end portal appears the enderman will fall into it and you can jump down and enter end credits
Just going to be honest, its kinda 90% the seed, and 10% things you start doing from experience such as grabbing 1-2 beds from a village only cause you know how to 4 bed, or routing a bastion faster because you've practiced and done it a lot before. Knowing how to entity ray and find lava using c counter, pie ray for fortresses for faster resets.
Triangulation and 4,4 chunk coords, starter staircase 5 room rule help for stronghold timesaves. Fortress in the good parts (blaze spawner sections) you can usually do headhitters by spamming blocks under you.
Throw pearls if you have extra, thats something to remember if you got a decent bastion. There's some more but I probably do them more unconscious so I can't really think of them right now.
@pooply I know the FOV is in plain vanilla, sorry I asked that question a bit short, but I was talking about Dynamic FOV that changes when you sprint in my previous questions. Couriway has that disabled somehow and I can't see any way except a mod in 1.16.1. In 1.16.4 etc it is in video settings (fov distortion or something and you can turn to 0%) but otherwise its impossible to disable. So is it a mod to disable FOV changing?
Question: On 1.16.1, using Sodium, how do people disable Dynamic FOV and remove fog? Is it using extra Fabric mods like custom FOV and noFog or is there a setting I've missed? I've seen Couriway's WR speedrun, he has no Dynamic FOV and no fog except a little in the nether.
