I'm someone who has never tried speedrunning before but I do love watching videos and the whole community.

I want to try out Doom. It's probably posted somewhere, but I can't find it: what version of doom is currently being used and how do I set it up?

Second, what category or categories would you all recommend to a new speedrunner?
