Can't speak for the mods, but generally communities don't ban rebinding keys. Macros however are usually forbidden.
I have slide bound to a mouse key and had it bound in my runs (actually using a G502 :) ). So in case it is not allowed my run would need to be invalidated retroactively.
If you got a vortex that is slightly above ground (which always seems better regarding travel distance) you can try to get more consistent result by crouching and then throwing the bolt and uncrouch. That way you have more control over the safe vs. unsafe distance. I think someone in the discord also posted clips doing that, but it is not international so I can't read anything there.
Ah. Interesting. I actually installed the demo after finishing the main game.
Yeah, just luck. Most of the time I have the focus pill as well.
Full game is actually quite fun to run - wouldn't be surprised if there are more players incoming.
Haven't seen anyone really doing it in the demo runs submitted, so FYI:
You can get pretty insane speeds by sliding, cancelling the slide with a jump, land sliding and repeat. You really only slide for a few milliseconds, so this looks like continuous jumping while the speed constantly increases. For the entire game this is a crucial difference. Of course try to avoid time-slowing buffs like focus or the retro video tape thingy.
Yes, not linked yet, but we use the old DD1 discord: https://discord.gg/4RGfj4j4NV
"after just about 48 hours there's no one bothering to even check if there is runs to review"
and you know that how? there are a ton of runs in queue for review submitted before your run.
"After this little "callout" i conviniently got my 1st community guidelines STRIKE on my youtube channel for a video over 5 years old for "hate speech" in which i can now not upload any runs let alone videos at all for a week"
which is related to this speedrunning community how exactly?
"All I wanted was a damn answer as to why the leaderboards look like they do"
I just looked through the hundreds of members on the discord where you usually get an answer within minutes - by a runner or a mod - and couldn't find yours. Did you even bother to ask where literally all of us are?
