Here the reasoning of run belongings to category will be published. Often it makes no sense to compete between different versions with same mechanics and route. Hovewer, some changes may remain unnoticeable but crucial at a time.

Examples:

• Tutorial Any% category haven't changed between 0.7.0 and 0.8.1, but from 0.8.2b the pannel been modified. Such runs cannot be treated as same category and placed at 0.8.1 version.
• WPWT Any% remains the same throughout 0.8.0-0.8.2b, hovewer, important superjump glitch mechanic has changed. Therefore, runs can no longer be compared and treated the same way.

In this forum each post will target specific reason of placing runs where they belonging to.Rules inside each category will receive the link to belonging post to ensure lack of ambiguity. Important! The forum is experimental and can be suggested to alter here. Forum will receive more functionality in the future as well.

One post here = one something edited. Simple as that!

I also have in plans "done perfect" style for that run and will do kerfurO% for 0.8.1b, since no one did good one yet. Kinda rueful that speedrunning community have not developed yet. About jumps.. it's a secret still, but for a player with Jump nickname - the key is in fps amount. Ragdoll recover is kinda random glitch when you spacebar-spam near surface

Replicated! Apparently, you now lose 0.5 stamina for every climb. And yeah, this is not severe exploit, but can be used to manipulate timings for 0.8.1b KerfurO% runs. Since you need to go to the cave now for quartz and sleeping there to get out. Nice job! UPD: It's also better to shift-climb workbench for more consistency

Tidied up categories and subcategories, clarified rules and nuances

• You have to start recording from the main menu to ensure you're using correct version for the run.

• Rules are applied for each category and version. Here is how to follow them strictly and suggest your thoughts and propositions.

• Carefully read the rules of each run. For example, not looking at the signs to popup info in tutorial runs will not be counted as a finished run! Which is strict nuance to take into account. Other ones may provide you more efficient timings, so bear in mind.

• Later on (on community develop) it will require splits from LiveSplits software to standardize runs (it's hard for mods to count milliseconds without it while YT provides whole seconds only)

• Runs starting ONLY when you move your camera OR position (the first frame of it). So you can wait when your game fully loads on start (which is different for different systems). That step is taken to prevent inconsistencies and advantages for players with better PC.

• DO NOT CHEAT lol (i'm not joking...) Punishment for avoiding that rule is one month of run verification denial. Cheating states for: || game code modifications || speeding up the video of your run || using Tool Assisted Speedrunning (TAS) ||

• Breaking category rules will not lead to a punishment.

• Spamming and acting deviantly overall on forums gets you banned from VOTV speedrunning community on this site. (can be appealed at my discord by the topic link below).

For these who posted runs during past month: the only moderator logged in just today after entire month with no activity.

I'm second moderator since D3clma decided to give me a mod perms. Maybe it means he just headed off forever, I'm not sure, he answered nothing🥲

30 Days would be too long and random dependent. The only things that will increase speed are daytime length setting and random dream evernts to reduce stamina for sleep-skip the time.

Burger and Tile % are good indeed and first one been made by Listenup on YT, so quite playable

Tutorial level Glitchless WPWT (TutorialGlitchlessWPWT%)

Task is to get to the very end of tutorial level secrets and activate "Wrong Place, Wrong Time" info sign.

Not allowed: ragdoll jump glitch, cheats, freecam. Pressing escape also counts as in-game time.
