When the last cartridge decays and becomes inoperable like many pokemon red/blue/yellow carts are starting to do today. Will you open this game up to an emulator? It's not really "unfair" if you pick ONE emulator that runs the game at a set rate, "faster" or not. Eventually there will be no working carts left for this game. My own cart blew the F' out last year, same with my pokemon snap cart. So... what do we do when they're all dead?

Since I've seen ZERO mention of the glitch I used anywhere, not on youtube, or the steam forums; I'm officially taking ownership of it, and it shall be called FatherFalling.

I've got a 20:04.25 that I'm uploading to youtube right now and I think the game can possibly be lowered to at least reasonably to 19:58.00 in the future if I can figure out how to replicate two extremely rare OOBs and one clip-through, I think under ideal conditions the game could be done in 19:45.00-19:58.00 easy.

Now can you guys stop beating my record so I can spend a few weeks learning Firewatch lmao. Jeepers. Always gotta come back to this game and defend my title.

There is no specific rule saying glitches are not allowed in any% runs. I've discovered a few, and I've managed to die the WR, but unfortunately I was standing just off of the right spot at the very end, and the run would not count as is. Can I just get a bit of confirmation from the Super that glitches are okay?

I have no idea what game I want to learn; the only run I've done that I've published to this site is for The Painscreek Killing, but I also do pokemon runs for fun, no point in being #55 on a leaderboard just for ego sake of saying "I'm on the board"; and I do semi-casual speedruns of other games, but I can't really decide what game I want to master.

I'm looking for a small-ish community with maybe 5-10 active runners to compete with in a game similar to Firewatch or The Painscreek Killing, if anyone knows of any games like that, I'm interested in getting involved and learning the run. I've been working on firewatch, but the community seems pretty slow/inactive.

Any suggestions would be awesome.

Doodletones doesn't play the game; I play the game. I dominate this game, I know the run inside and out; I would like mod, and I think more thank wanting to be a mod; I should be mod of this game because I don't think the supermod plays the game either.

So if these rules are supposed to keep people from moderating 100s of games, why does doodletones have moderator on TONS of games that he/she's never played. What the hell is this all about

No no no, I beat him. I beat his time by 0.5 seconds. I refuse to be 2nd on the leaderboard.

The category doesn't break down into milliseconds but maybe you should consider adding that option because if we're going to continue this battle (which I hope we do lol) uhh I don't see the time being lowered by more than 10th's of seconds. So just an idea, enable the 10th's of seconds option in the record thing; if available, I think it is because other games have it.

I want to get into speedrunning Firewatch and I'm reasonably certain I can set a record for that game; but try as I might I can't get the load-time remover to work with my livesplits. Nothing I do gets it to work.

So my question is this. What is the best method for recalculating a run manually to remove load times? What program is the best for looking at the run frame by frame to be as accurate as possible?
