Yeah, I hope this prevents any other players from running the game with this newer version :)

My earlier estimation seemed be on the high end. As my first complete run for today was a PB and the time improved by 1min 11secs. And since this run wasn't nearly as good, I expect the time difference a bit higher. After running I also noticed the game ran faster with version 2.0.0 and the load time was just the more obvious effect.

Now I'll head back to grinding for something to submit :D

I recently picked up on speedrunning Bug's Life and now finally had a PB I felt was worth posting. After editing the video file I started to play it side-by-side with a faster PS-emu run here, just for laughs I thought.

But I noticed that the submitted run was faster although gameplay-wise it seemed very similar. And comparing the starts of multiple runs I could see my run had effectively longer load times. Ant hill began around 13-14s (instead of ~12s), and I estimated this to add around 2 minutes altogether.

After doing some troubleshooting I found the reason being the newer ePSXe version of 2.0.5. And to avoid this delay you should use 2.0.0 from the current options of ePSXe

Hey, I would like to be a mod for Kick-Ass 2 (http://www.speedrun.com/Kick-Ass_2). I've tried to reach the current moderator through twitter and twitch. He has not been online for a week now and my submission has been pending that whole time. The current moderator has not provided any rules for speedrunning the game during his month of moderating the game.
