damn that sucks, cause i found skip for zombie basketball in repop too.. also found easy alternative for cathedral skip btw. Idk how i feel about running repop vs 2012, but times in repop are already faster. (mods are super slow approving runs, but someone showed all the runs in queue for approval). Also there's a discord for repop on the repop speedrun page.
Found this in repop, but cant verify in og atm. So if anyone wants to test. saves around 30 seconds even with slow steam deck loads, but not sure what 360 loads would be. If it does work there might be more skips to find using same method.
just spam melee till something clips, should be first try. If not then it's probably not gonna work in this version. Also character is max upgrades, not sure if new character clips either.
That actually seemed to do the trick, just took some time for it to catch up.... or it could of been that i posted in forums that there was a bug.. but i highly doubt it, lol.
I changed the boards 10 days ago, but last night it was still bugged. The fix seems to be "clicking the top run, edit run, save run" to just kinda refresh it... or unless it was a coincidence lol.
I recently made a new category (Lollipop Chainsaw) for emulator runs and moved the runs to the new categories. One of the runs moved was a 1st place run. The Leaderboard for the category it was moved from (NG Any%) seems normal until to click on a run (or view someone's profile). It shows all the runs as being 1 place behind, like it's still counting the moved run as still being in the category.
tried to edit shivas run and save it, just to try and see if resubmitting it would refresh it, but didnt it do anything.
here i was thinking they were doing pretty good, lol. no clue how to fix it.
ok, i did it, that was actually surprising simple to do, lol.
All you have to do is make the new category, then edit the run/runs you want to move and change them to new category.
i can try, wish me luck.. if anything, emulators can just be set to not shown by default
Alright, so emulation has come a long way to where now it's easily accessible for running LC. So far it's just been IL runs and some slower times on the main boards, but a 1st place run was submitted for NG Any%. I think the days of me making major decisions about the game have pasted since i no longer actively run the game anymore. I have made Shivahaze a mod, he has been here for a long time and still runs the game. I made Edycis a mod too long time ago in case something happened and i couldnt verify runs, but is an active runner in a ton of games and has tons of knowledge from those communities.
Anyways... my questions is how should emu runs be handled? I had never got around to testing load times for emu, but i would suspect it's faster than console and would also be based on pc specs.
For the time being I will verify the run until the community/mods come to a decisions on what they want to do.
Yeah, if more people comment here and show interest, then i say why not. The interest in this game tends to come and go quickly and src forums seem to be enough atm, but when LC remaster drops definitely gonna either join or make own discord.
also if you haven't yet, i'd watch this to get a commentated overview of the ng+ run. Both ng/ng+ use the same skips.
i think all together you would probably save 10-15 minutes from all the skips. They can be pretty hard to learn at first, but they can be done consistently with enough practice. The farm skip & cathedral skip are the biggest skips and can have quite a few fails before breaking even. I know the cathedral skip saved 4-5 minutes.
yeah, you can use new game+. It's ok, lol finding the rules for it is kind of wonky. You have you click on an actual level and then you can click the "view rules" next to submit run.
Just like to keep notes here of any fixes, changes or additions to this game page and reasons if applicable. Also this can be a place if anyone has a request or question.
Game date was changed to correct day & month.
"PC" was removed as a console. If the game game ever gets a steam release or pc release at all then it will of course be re-added.
"Platforms obsolete each other" has been turned on. This will show your fastest time on the leaderboard if you ever decide to switch consoles.
Game genre has been added (hack and slash, action). Also engine, developer and publisher have been added.
When to start and end the timer has been added to the category rules.
Individual levels have been added. They were all there already, but no category was set for them. I added them because xbox and psn leaderboards have no video and easy difficulty is not an option. Also, some glitches and possibly new glitches can involve triggering an auto save and restarting from that save which is not possible using the in game leaderboards.
Timing for IL has been set for RTA. I really wanted in game time so that ps3 user's wouldn't be affected by load times, but i had to go with RTA. The in game timer is really faulty in terms of speedrunning. Dying/restarts will load the time it was at when you triggered the autosave. This means you can die an infinite amount of times without consequences and can take as long as you want to setup a trick that requires loading from a save point because of the timer reset.
I would like to make an option to have in game as a secondary time option for IL, but there is no way to do that without adding the option for full game runs as well. It is something that is being worked on by the site devs, but I don't know when it will be an option.
100% as a listed category will be added if anyone ever does a run or seriously request's it. I also need to find out what is actually required to complete the game 100%.
I would like mod for Lollipop Chainsaw... The mod is back to being M.I.A. and I have a 14 day old run waiting to be verified. I tried to get mod awhile ago, because I know he rarely comes on here and I didn't want to tweet him every time I submitted a run. Nothing ever happened with getting mod, but he was doing good and verified my runs within a few day as they came in, but then it just stopped. I tweeted at him on the 27 letting him know the run has been there for over a week and that I would greatly appreciate mod, but never heard back and he's been offline here for 27 days. http://www.speedrun.com/Lollipop_Chainsaw
I messaged him on twitch, but i'm fine waiting a week vs waiting months on runs. I really don't want to have to pester him every time I pb.
Can't send him dm's on twitter and everything else shows no sign of activity. Last tweet was "In the courthouse now; let's finish this! #Hype #ILookBadInOrange" ...I'm no lawyer, but orange jumpsuit doesn't sound so good, lol and if he won his case you think he would have posted a victory tweet by now.
I'd like to request mod for Lollipop Chainsaw. There's 1 mod and he's been inactive for 2 months. I know that he hardly comes on here and runs can sit for months. There's currently someone waiting to be verified with a NG+ wr run from two weeks ago (i was there during the run) and my NG wr run is 4 days old. I am very knowledgeable with this game and very active with developing strats, glitch hunting, routing and helping to teach others the new things I find with the games I run. I always have more than enough time everyday to set aside to verify runs. Which should be pretty easy cause there's only 2 current active runners in the game including myself... http://www.speedrun.com/Lollipop_Chainsaw
