I would suggest that the timer starts the moment you press space to dismiss the good luck text. Smashing space to get through those 5 messages is very annoying expecially if you reset a lot and keeping the messages in the time is just useless.
Also the timing should be stated in the rules. e.g. "Beat the game as fast as possible. Timing starts after you press space on the "Good Luck" screen and ends when you touch the blue flame of the boss' corpse."
I'm playing in a 720p window (to see timer and stuff cause i don't have 2 creens ;( and sometimes, as you can see in the video, when i go back to the hub it's all distorted and it's really annoying and disturbing my run. What causes this?
The slide Mario does when B and Z are pressed. I just wondered what the best use for them is. They seem very slow and inconvinient to do instead of dives or longjumps. But maybe some of you guys have some ideas?

Im using Project64 an play in fullscreen mode. Under Graphical Options - Advanced I check "Stretch game to match screen resolution" or something similar so instead of having a stretched game it pretty much increases the fov.
The Mods at Star Revenge 8 are cool with it. But is it allowed in SM64?
