Bonjour! Thanks for submitting to our leader-board. I would like to remind you that our rules required video evidence of the game being reset (or just started) before beginning the run (which this does not have). However I was able to locate the necessary evidence in your VOD, so I went ahead and verified this. However, I would like for you to include this in the highlight in the future.
This has been discussed plenty of times before. But as of yet no one has actually done it. It's just a short of interest thing. Most of the people who are capable are largely uninterested. That's not to say it won't happen. With these sorts of categories it's usually an "If you build it, people will come" situation. That is, someone just has to be the first one to do it before we really start to see much else.
I will say (at least with unrestricted) RCM won't change much. There are so many glitches that let us skip vast swaths of gameplay, that odds are we'll miss the bulk of the content therein restored. Could be neat for some of the glitch-light categories though
Hey guys! I'm Lane. I am one of the moderators for the general Star Wars Speedrunning Discord. In the past weeks we've been trying to compile links (mostly discord invites) to the platforms used by various SW speedrunning communities, so that we can point people in the right direction.
Does such a discord server (or other platform) exist for this game? If so I would love to have a link to it, so that we can have it pinned. If not, we do have an unused channel for Battlefront-2015, which you guys are welcome to utilize. However, we tend to be rather Laissez-faire when it comes to this sort of thing, so it's entirely up to you guys how, if at all, you communicate.
Finally, here's a link to the General Star Wars Speedrunning Discord: https://discord.gg/BPhsXzgQUf
Cheers! And feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Thanks for being so responsive and understanding Pac. Not very many sites these days listen to their users. Mad respect 👍
I've been undertaking the task of trying to compile what we know in attempt to crack the Displaced load zone (DLZ) glitch. I've compiled this google document with what we know so far: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1TNIWyRF5X2ta3ghzzrDL_OJoraV-VuR4dOB1meTBI7Y/edit?usp=sharing
Any additions, questions, or theories are welcome.
