concrete suggestion:
- Runners must obtain the National Dex, clear the Sevii Islands Rocket Warehouse side quest, and defeat the Upgraded Elite 4 + Champion. The real discussion lies here, do we really need to keep Sevii island completion as a goal?
We skip the first E4, we skip catching by getting national dex without the 60 pokes and i would vote for removing Rocket Warehouse as a goal, but still we have Rocket Warehouse and have early access to Mewtwo with the glitches to speed up its completion.
- Timing ends on the first full black frame at the end of the Second Hall of Fame sequence, before the credits.
- Runs must be completed on the English language.
- Glitches ARE allowed.
- Runs performed on the Nintendo DS hardware will have their times converted to match the GBA framerate (~59.6555 FPS (DS) -> ~59.7275 FPS (GBA)). Therefore, DS submissions must include a hard reset within 10 minutes before or after the run. This is done to ensure DS hardware was used. Submissions that do not include a hard reset are not eligible for the timing conversion.
since this video released, it's pretty clear to me some form of ruleset could be conceived that would allow skipping some aspects of the round 2 run, for example, not doing elite 4 twice and maybe getting mewtwo earlier as well since you already have national dex and ruby and sapphire
i'm not an expert but it seems a reasonable compromise on what's allowed and what's not.. i have considered TASing this achievement by itself so i would definitely appreciate your feedback about this idea
but in the sadx discord i thought somebody had mentioned it's doable.. weird
im trying to complete act2 with knuckles and want to see what kind of strats tails uses, knuckles can't dig in emerald coast so i gave up on trying some speed shoes to cross the act2 void
knuckles can dig both invencibility AND speed shoes... but there's no diggable terrain in emerald coast act1 probably because it wasn't planned... i also tried alternating A and B which makes knuckles hover but also cuts his horizontal speed which is useless unless you want to just avoid falling
ive beaten survival on very hard with EX EO Sagat on Gamecube, it's basically HK fireball spam and cr. HP fireball for shorter charcters, or if the character has fast moves or shoryuken just use alternated fireball spam kyo ken rock for examples, bosses were either fireball spam or roll shoryuken
but today ive come to show my survival mode TAS and boss battle as well
you can simply grab a box and go through the laser barriers because they will take damage for you and you'll clip through
more TAS now showcasing a clip, a new infinite and an attempt to make the damage over time glitch more viable
this tas will only be submitted to TASVIDEOS after some time so you can submit feedback before that:
