rules used to say that runs under 5:20 needed video. iirc it was changed to all runs (and removing the requirement for all sub 5s to be streamed) in 2017.

Yeah you can probably find one for free without too much work

• I would love to compete. I love participating in tournaments and races like these.
• The format makes sense, but as others have mentioned, "pros" could just enter the "amateur" bracket and have a much easier run through. I think that it would be best to have one bracket and give a cart to top 2 or have two brackets: one with people under x time and one with people above x time PBs.
• Sleep deprivation
• Warpless is by far the better category for races. Imo warpless races can get far more interesting than any%.
• This is a fun way to determine who gets carts. The only problem is that the winners probably will already have an Everdrive/Powerpak, so the carts may not go to people in need.
• I don't have any other feedback. Looking forward to participating!

Edit: I read through these responses and actually really like ThePKing's idea of one any% tournament and one warpless tournament. Winner of each would win a cart.

NES Classic is a good way to start out, but be aware that it runs at a slower frame rate than a normal NTSC NES. If you plan to take this game really far, I wouldn't recommend it as you would have to upgrade in the future.

at a high level, most if not all runs have 380 undergrounds. runs that do the flagpole glitch in 1-1 finish the level with a 369 because the fpg loses an ingame second but skips the flag animation, so the split is still 21 frames faster than a normal 370 flag grab.

I moderate another smb1 rom hack and was a verifier on the category extensions at one point. Would it be possible to make me a moderator for TCA?

Leontoast has been spamming these forums as of late. The Speedrun.com forums, especially for game like Toadette's Christmas Adventure should be taken seriously. But of course, Leontoast is making a joke of these forums with his unserious, unprofessional, and useless messages. Due to this, I propose that we should not only remove him from these leaderboards completely, but also work to get him entirely removed from this website. Please reply with your opinions.

This doesn't work 100% of the time on framerule 539. With some slow pipe jumps, the bill shoots on an uneven frame (2021 in my case). However, a lot of faster pipe jumps shoot on even frames (2016 and 2020).

Dying is allowed. A lot of the runs on the leaderboards have deaths.
