Poggers moment
The previous moderator has been replaced, I hope to fix some errors all past mods have made with the new position (and also, y'know, actually get your runs verified.)
If you feel like posting random "history," say that Napoleon got the first sub 20 minute Boss Kill% Vanilla* run in Stranded Isle history, put it here. If I or anyone else wanna make the weirdest Bill Wurtz ripoff video, we'll have stuff to work with.
I'll get the ball rolling, if anyone else even cares:
Due to natural sunlight, photosynthesis allowed organisms to do menuing a lot faster, leading to a large record improvement over the years. What began as a 10 hour Any% run became, over the course of thousands of centuries, 8 hours.
POOOOOOOOOOOOOOG
If there's anything you want me to use, or maybe you'd like to do a chat with me SI-related and get that in, DM me on this site or on Discord. There's stuff I need and would appreciate your support with always. Thanks!
Thought I'd make one since this game didn't have one, feel free to use it!
In case you want to see a leaderboard rank chart by day, I've made it with a few extra names in the mix not on this website. I also have a meme name or two in there. I plan to update it every few months or so.
I made this in like May, but I just updated it, so I thought I'd throw it in here.

If you'd prefer to see accurate distances between times, this is what you're looking for. However, I find it hard to read, and it uses decimals, so there's a bit of a trade-off.
Me and Arumin are now Super Moderators, and MelonkeepR, or Lily, is a new member of the team! The four mods you see now will most likely not change for a loooooooong time.
Dream%, formerly a category of its own, is now a subcategory for all other categories. While it used to be just Any% with perfect drops, in all honesty other categories should have that as well. The idea of making other categories for that was considered, but it's just too much category gore. Idrk what to formally call Dream% now, "Any% Dream%" doesn't roll off the tongue. Others can decide I guess.
I was on WR pace, unfortunately I died to the boss and had to reset the fight. If there's any good strats I'm missing out on, I'd love to know.
I still sub 13'd btw, prolly won't submit a run until I get a low 12 or smth.
I was doing my first playthrough to understand the game before speedrunning it, and the boss ended up getting stuck. While his back was against the top right corner, he did a dash left, but got stuck in the dash animation, and I was able to freely kill him. Is this a new thing or already known about? Sorry I wasn't recording that run, sure it'd be nice to see it.
The sub 5 is too lucky + godly for me to wanna mess with, and I don't think anyone will beat it in a while. I've beaten my own records enough over the course of this game's history, and I think this is a good time to just say goodbye to the category in general.
Doubt anyone else will use it, but if this game pops off, then we kinda need one.
You can reset on a seed you're happy with to get it every time. And since people can browse and choose to like it before resetting, then it's not very random, is it?
You're able to download it, but can you actually extract the music and SFX if you have the data files? If so, how? Can you do this with values as well?
Asking because I downloaded the game on Itch.io and found a data.pod file, and opening it confused me greatly. The top reads:
version 15 lua

Does anyone even know what this means?
Currently, the version on lexaloffle is an older version, which has no boss fight. If the timing method is the moment you press continue on "Full of Mysteries and Monsters," then how do you time a version without it? I did so in a way that the timer starts the moment you see the world, but for versions that DO have that screen, they lose 3-5 seconds automatically due to loading. So why not start timing upon either first loading into the world or first input after it loads? That way, timing is simple and standard, and so you can run either version without a detriment or advantage.
Arumin's time would be re-timed to a 9:08 or 9:07. narthewall's time would be a 14:45 or 14:46. MadLaddCalliemari seems to have already fixed timing this way, so the 23:16 is probably still a 23:16.
