Yeah I know the run can't be verified I just included that in the comment to demonstrate an example of what the run could look like, my post was more about having the category added.
Hi All,
For some time I have been working on a 100% (No DLC) run for the game, and after testing I found that I could get it down to roughly 4 hours and 30 minutes. I have uploaded my first full attempt on my twitch https://www.twitch.tv/deconator03 (I had an issue during the stream that caused it to split into three, so I have had to save it to three separate highlights).
I like the category as it challenges the runner on every component of the No DLC version of this game, requiring both the skill to complete races as quickly as possible and the knowledge of the map and all the jackspots, billboards, security gates and speed cameras located around it. I would be very interested to see what kind of time the most skilled runners of this game could get down to, hence why I'm proposing the addition of the category to the leaderboard.
I also run Any% Classic on Xbox One, the way I record is using the Twitch app on the Xbox One console to stream the run, and then afterwards logging on to my Twitch account on my laptop and make a highlight of the run. It's super straight forward and doesn't cost anything either so I would definitely recommend doing it this way. As long as your internet is ok you shouldn't have any issues with this method.
Hey everyone,
After Gman's latest WR in Career Any% it seems pretty clear that repeatedly evading the cops at heat level 6 is the way forward for this category, and therefore the majority of events aside from a few ambushes and most of the vehicles in the game have become redundant. While I don't think there is a problem with this new strategy, I think there is a need for another category that forces the player to utilize more of the game than we now do in Career Any%.
My idea for another category is All Events %, where the player must complete each event in the game once (not including Most Wanted events) with whichever vehicle they want in the shortest time possible. I think this would open up opportunities for a multitude of different route ideas and also requires the player to use many different types of vehicles and travel to all sections of the map. Alongside the Career Any% category which is becoming more and more optimized I think All Events % would be great secondary category that would be a fun alternative for current runners doing Career Any% and I believe it would also be more likely to attract new runners to NFSMW12 speedrunning.
