Who runs this game / what are the rules / who is in charge? Basically this is one of my all time favourites and for the first time in a long time I see speedrun.com times for some level that are totally beatable, so I might start running this one :)
Questions:
Which versions of the game / with which configurations are acceptable for a run to be acceptable.
What must be supplied for a run to be accepted. Is a simple "twitch-like" YouTube recording of the run enough?
What timer do we use? I see that in both steam supaplex and original supaplex, there is an in-game timer that shows level completion time after finishing a level, with seconds resolution. Based on my testing that timer seems to be wall-clock time, as opposed to something like "cpu time" or "game-logical time". So for steam version where speed is adjustable, it seems to make sense to always use fast speed (of course :P), although that seems slightly slower than original supaplex over dosbox with high enough cpu cycles for the game.
Also, the steam version of the game has in-game saves and loads within a level, which even rewinds the in-game timer. I presume that no saving is allowed at all? So even if counting wall-clock time (so no rewinding), we still need to complete the level in one go for it to count.
Regarding video, I see most (all?) existing videos capture "full screen game" and nothing else. Would a video including face video / chat / etc from twitch count for a run achieved on stream? (As long as the game screen itself is also on the video, but not spanning the whole full video frame)
Moderator here is Espazi, and as far as I know, we rely to the in game clock
