16k attempts and 1.5 years, this is what it took to achieve this time. Beyond grateful for the friends and others I've met along the way, I seriously couldn't have done it without everyone's support. What seemed like a dream a few years ago has turned into reality and nothing else describes how relieved I am that I have finally done it. 4:55 in SMB1 any% took determination beyond anything I've ever done in my entire life. It goes to show that anything is possible if you put your mind to it, no matter what you've gone through. This game has given me ups and downs that have shaped the course of my future, and the lessons I've learned from everything means the world to me. It doesn't matter how weak you think you are, how bad you might think of yourself, or how useless you might think you are. What matters in the end is what you can make of yourself to achieve anything you dream of. Life has been rough for me mentally, and the struggles I've gone through made this goal even harder to achieve. However, to say that I've finally done it has given me the strength I need to push onward and live my life to the fullest. Never say that it can't happen or that you can't do it, because it can and you will. Seriously, thank you so much to everyone I've met in my speedrunning journey that was there for me when the road was hard to see, you mean the world to me. With that said, I love you all. Thank you so much.
P.S: Special shoutouts to Niftski, Brandon_Lepetrie, Nebula, Simplistic, KingOfJonnyBoy, Lain, LeKukie, Alabaster, Sawyer, Scrimsion, Miniland, and so so many more I'm certainly forgetting. If you interacted with me in SMB (or maybe SMO if you're OG) in any capacity, I am forever grateful for your encouragement and support throughout all these years. Here's to a brighter tomorrow :D
