The 19th Peercast SMB1 any% Tournament just happened, and I thought why there' is not an annual or even monthly tournaments for the speedrun.com community. It'd be nice, not only to get new players into the Game/community but also to give more players the chance to race and compete in this Game.
Maybe with the community together we can get it to happen.
I think that would be amazing! always wanted to do something like that.
I might do them but I would not be good I can't even beat the game without dying yet unless I get lucky with patterns
@Shadowbrine1, maybe the races could get You more competitive on the Game, practice more, go for consistancy and overall, get better at the game
Considering all the abandoned projects this community has put out, I wouldn't get your hopes up.
@santicop It would probibly help it is just I have other games I like playing also so I don't play it all the time
@santicop my definition of "good" is probably different from yours. My best run (glitchles) 5.57
@drag0n2011 Being good varies from person to person, maybe, for someone with a 4:54, My 4:57 may be a "decent" time, everyone has a different perspective of being good and enjoying the Game.
@Shadowbrine1, I also speedrun other games (although My Main Focus is smb), u must not be obligated, as we all know is a hobby.
So @santicop how long do you think it will take to get this up and running if you still want to do it?
Well, not sure, with help of the community it may beggin as a small livestream, and become into something bigger, but, if it's not possible, its ok
I love the idea, but i dont think it would reach out as much as it should, some may have a problem with preforming live, or managing some of the toxic side of the community would be a long project to handle, maybe instead of monthly every 3-6 months? that way people dont get burnt out, and have more time to practice if needed (or if there is a personal matter)
I think we should wait if maybe the moderators see it as something viable, if they dont, we may do some races by ourselves :D
