Gecko Codes for Practice

I've moved my codes over to a Google Site instead of using the Google Spreadsheet from before. I'm currently still in the process of moving stuff over and whatnot but for now it should be usable.

Zelda64 Codes is the site.

Each code has it's own page listed under Ocarina of Time (MQ) where you can see some more detailed information on it.

A master list of all the code activators can be found here.

Thanks for this, super helpful for learning!

Not sure if you guys are willing to actually allow this but I have made a cheat file that switches text on the English version to be Japanese. Since Nintendont keeps cheats active through reseting it would be possible to do full runs on English with Japanese text the entire time.

Nice work, and I'm pretty sure Spacier/Garnitrex would be more than happy to allow the Eng-JP cheat to make MQ even more accessible. I'll ask Garnitrex to make sure and I'll check them out then I'll get back to you and maybe we could add these to the resources.

Also, not sure if its because you haven't updated it, but that change log appears blank. Also, is there only 2 codes for MQ so far, or are the OoT ones built in? Does native input settings in Nintendont affect the controls for discs?

My English disc won't load MQ, so I will rely on others' opinions on this. I'll link this to Spacier, and others to see what they think of it. I think it would be a great addition to give players more options to play on GCN if they choose.

Master Quest has all the same codes as the Ocarina of Time codes listed on Zelda64 Codes. I just haven't added the individual pages with the addresses yet. However on the English set for Master Quest for some reason the Cutscene Restore code isn't working yet but other than that everything is there. The Master Quest Change Log is blank just because I haven't made/added it yet (it will basically be the same as Ocarina of Time's though).
Does native input settings in Nintendont affect the controls for discs?
Not quite sure what you mean about the controls? With Nintendont you can use R + Z + Start to reset, but X + B + Start like normal also works for reseting if that's what you are talking about?

I'll probably end up making normal Ocarina of Time codes for the Master Quest disc at some point. I don't really think anyone would run on that but may as well have them available.

If you play through Nintendont normally, all of the controls are emulated. For example. Shield Dropping in melee (precise analog movement) is completely changed. I'll have to see if it affects OoT and whether the codes work with Native Control enabled (which disables the emulated controls).

United States

The controls seem to be roughly the same with or without Native Control, although for comfort I'd recommend you enable it in Nintendont if you try this.

The pausing is seemingly different. There is less initial pause lag, but buffering seems roughly the same difficulty.

Also, it would be worth it to make codes for normal GC OoT. GC is better for hovering out of bounds and duping, so it's useful for Glitched 100% and Max% child. And perhaps some people would like to run normal categories on GC.
