Why is Harikenger the chosen romanization for the title of this game instead of the one that everybody calls this series, Hurricaneger? Even the official English DVD release calls it Hurricaneger.
This name was chosen because when we searched there were 3 alleged names for this game: Ninpu Sentai Hurricaneger, Ninpu Sentai Hurricanger and Ninpu Sentai Harikenger. So we were in doubt. For all intents and purposes, I searched for this game on Amazon and it said "Ninpu Sentai Harikenger" and the name of the iso that Matt Plays and I have also matches that name. So we kept that name until someone else showed up and took that doubt away. If you are absolutely sure that this is the name of the game, we can change it. Thanks. I apologize for the confusion
I can just say that for the years I've been in the tokusatsu community, I've never seen Harikenger. I've seen both Hurricaneger and Hurricanger, though.
I can see where Harikenger comes from, as it's the most literal transliteration of the title of the show, but a lot of Sentai names don't use the Hepburn romanization because it's emulating some English word. Such as, Jettoman -> Jetman, Ryusouger -> Ryusoulger, Patoranger -> Patranger (the word "patrol"), Rupanranger -> Lupinranger. Hurricaneger is just another example of that.
Like I said, there is an official release of the TV series in the US where it's titled Hurricaneger, so that's likely the most official romanization.

Got it, thanks for the info. Then we'll keep "Hurricaneger" until proven otherwise.
