Hey there,
I've been digging around in the game a bit more after doing more "Beat the Game" runs. Had some ideas on expanding what categories exist already.
Couple of ideas:
- Change the current main category to be called "3 Day Event" - It is the main part of the game, but if we add other categories, it makes more sense to make the name specific to the category content.
- Add in Adventure as a category - this would involve beating Horse Trials and Horse Shoes back to back. Alternatively, we could add Horse Trials and Horse Shoes as their own categories. Horse Trials has two levels, Forest World and Island World, Horse Shoes has the same levels, but as easy, medium and hard difficulties. So however we structure it, completion would be all of the difficulties, to complete Horse Shoes.
- Individual Level Leaderboard - Could have this for stuff in 3 day event but also the individual levels in horse trials/horse shoes.
I can do some trial runs as an example if it helps.. Thanks!
i think adding adventure would be a good thing to add if you are willing to run it. im thinking about maybe adding a 100% also. i dont want too much on the leaderboard until there is enough runners to round it out. so lets take this 1 step at a time.
Hey Jesse! I've been working on some routing!
I'm thinking I might actually go with:
*All Items - This seems like an interesting one, because you have to choose the right events to get the fastest route to get 333 ribbons, which is the number required to buy all items in the shop. Starts on beginning of first event, ends on buying the final item. *All Ribbons - Collect all 541 achievable ribbons from all events. Ends on black screen after ribbons awarded.
All ribbons could be a 100% but I don't think buying the items makes this run anymore interesting and the game doesn't track your percentage. But it does track your ribbons, so I think just ending on the last ribbon makes more sense.
I'm likely going to record these and submit and show you, then can create the categories around it I guess.
I'm still considering Adventure as it's own category, but I'm probably going to run All Items and All Ribbons first.
Thoughts?
