Since people are magically running this game now after a year of nothingness, a thread like this could be useful.

This could probably help out with the forest skip, this is my original variant of the setup. It's a little old but it should have some sort of consistency when done right. Strafing is ridiculously important for certain strats in the runs but I'm certain you're all aware of that since you're all minutes ahead of me now hehe.

I guess I'll have to study the run again when my semester is over (8 days), I don't know if I'll ever run 0.9 seriously but I'd gladly help with strats. 0.9 is fairly different from 0.8 but I was able to get a decent route on day 1 of its release with few notable skips so who knows. Good job on the WR, I never thought someone would run this game again haha.

Thanks. There's definitely room for improvement in my run. And would love to see new strats. This was the first game I have ever speedrun. My friend told me about it and now I'm hooked lol

That's awesome, 0.8 was my first speedgame so I can relate. I'll probably stream it next week and see if I can find something, still busy with exams right now.

I found a new strat when your facing Shamrock King. After every phase, he will usually spin around or make a circle of fire. If you throw a ball into his mouth as he's roaring. He skips that and goes right back to his normal attacks.
