I've been studying for a future speedrun andthe thing is this, the current WR in the mission SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND doors open inwards. But, the doors in other speedruns open outwards. Now, this is not a bug or a hack. I haven't seen any answers in any other place so I keept diggin
If you play with Direct3D the doors in this mission open OUTWARDS and if you play with OPENGL open INWARDS.
I'm sure this will help alot of people in the future. I'm not really sure if OPENGL will crash more or less. But if you want to use a route where the doors open inwards in the configuration you will need to use openGL
PD: this is the only way I found to open the door inwards, if there is any other I think it would be helpful for me and/or other people!
Nafanya said it was surprise for him, its visible on his run, he took a step back before doors will be opened. I got this one time i guess
i could be wrong, but isn't using direct3d impossible? (or then you have to play in a very low resolution)
I can run the game with OpenGL and Direct3D renders. For me OpenGL lock fps on 60 (my monitor refresh rate), Direct3D unlock fps. I use Nvidia
I dont sure about resolution. The most comfortable is 1024x768 imho. It works with both renders
I played with 1024x768 resolution I think and used DgVoodoo with Direct3d. I also never payed attention to the doors.. but doesn't look like a major thing to me.
@valdemarka If I remember correctly screen was wobbling all the time without it in Direct3D which is quite irritating. Probably because of the fps thing. Also colors look more ambient imo.
Well... We have 2 new potential runners minimum i guess Topic starter and one guy who trained speedrun on Twitch. I saw him in C47 category I'm happy about it
