Input Buffering
Keyboard inputs buffer ahead quite a long time in this game. You can press Esc just before a cutscene starts and it will skip at the earliest possible moment. In theory you can even press left-click and Esc at the same time, but I don't think that's very helpful.
The same is true for Enter, which you can use to select dialog options. I personally only use Enter when I need to select all dialog options, because it feels awkward otherwise. In that case though, you can hold down Enter and mash clicks to get through all options quickly. It doesn't even need to be a particularly fast mash.
Item Exits
You can skip the little walk animation of your characters by clicking on the exit with an item selected on your cursor. Whether this works depends on the specific exit.
- Some exits won't let you through with an item selected
- Others let you through, but remove the item from your cursor
- Yet others let you through and leave the item on the cursor, but the animation is not removed
- etc
On the screens where you walk manually with Gabe/Grace, there are exits which instantly warp you, if you click on them with an item selected. It works for the clock shop on Marienplatz and the path towards the castle in Rittersberg.
Munich Map
When you're on the Munich map during Gabriel's chapters, double click your destinations to skip the "hourglass cursor" wait time.
Music Volume
The length of the music fade-out, that some screens have when you exit them, depends on the volume setting. The higher the volume, the longer the fade-out. Volume level 0 = no fade-outs, which means instant exits.
Item Hitboxes
The hotspots/hitboxes in this game aren't really "boxes", instead they follow the actual graphic representations. And so a lot of items - even in your inventory - have holes. In case you're wondering why you keep missing that one item half the time you click on it...

Crashes
I get a semi-consistent crash in chapter 6 when Grace is about to use the water on the chair. Taking things slowly around here seems to help. At least I hope so.
