is there any way i can just the race and street category runs on ps2, as i cant tamper with the game files/profile ?

That's a tricky question. With the current meta where we can immediately buy all upgrades by going into the negatives so the exact amount of money is not as important anymore. Personally I would be okay if you submit a run that starts with: Race class: anywhere between 16000-17000 credits and only the Chili bought Street class: anywhere between 42000-43000 credits and only the Chili bought

That still doesn't fix the cumbersome resetting though, as you would have to play through the whole game all over again every time.

I am not telling you to do this, but I want to ask others what they think: Would it be fair in this instance, when playing on a PS2, to "pretend reset"? As in get the money back to 16k/42k, purchase the Chili and then pretend you didn't complete the races that you already did and play normally again. That would still be pretty annoying but I can't think of much else. I'm pretty open minded about this if it would only apply to PS2, I can't imagine that many runs would be played on it.
