I wasn't speedrunning or anything. Hell, I don't even speedrun. I just thought this might be useful. I was enjoying the game on Xbox and had just reached the section where you help Caesar as Aya, then switch over to Bayek. Before the cutscene finished and Aya lit the brazier atop the lighthouse-like building, I drew my bow, but the animation was cancelled by the guard attacking her in the cutscene. As I swapped to Bayek, the cutscene ended, and I was on the chariot with Caesar. I immediately drew my bow and was surprised to see the Light Bow crosshair despite the fact that my bows that I use are a hunter and a predator bow. Before the chariot even left the gate, the screen went black for a moment, then the cutscene of Bayek killing the war elephant at the end of that sequence played. I have no idea why Bayek drew Aya's bow, but I do know that I skipped over the chariot chase section. I never played the section, but my Dad, who had recently done that part of the game, confirmed it existed. I would experiment with this to see if there's a consistent way of doing it, but I am still on my first playthrough and haven't even killed Flavius yet. Hopefully this helps someone speedrun!
It's very interesting, but I do not understand how you can draw your bow AND starting the cutscene. Could you please add a little more details on what did you do exactly? I tried some stuff, like press Y and spam the button to draw the bow, but I don't even understand what you did :p
It was weird. I drew the bow as the cutscene started, so the animation didn't get to play. Then when the cutscene ended I immediately drew my bow as Bayek, only to see the light bow crosshair appear in place of the equipped hunter or predator bow crosshairs. The screen cut to black and then the cutscene of Bayek finishing off the war elephant played.
