There shouldn't be any sort of argument though, It gives an unfair advantage and it should be treated as such. I personally have no idea as to why it was even considered to be allowed.

It is literally impossible to get. It's not like it's a 1.0 Jap cartridge of ALttP or something that I can pay a sum of cash for and obtain in order to be able to compete competitively

At the very least put it as it's own category so that the leaderboards can be fair.

I 100% agree with what Jukes said. It should have either its own category or just banned altogether (also my preference)

on a side note, There is a mission on the IL list (I can't recall the name) that was only playable via a bounty that was gotten from Petra (the mission where you start inside of phogoth's lair) that mission is no longer accessible as it only showed up when you had the bounty related to it, which is unobtainable now. So it should be removed from the leaderboards IMO

has the character you're doing the mission on completed the entire sleeper quest line? Because my hunter has, and he can no longer do that mission, I even just checked to make sure I wasn't blind.

it becomes available once you turn in all the items, you just don't have to wait until the 7th now, it still goes away once you complete it. I've checked multiple times when I go into the directory, I can't select that mission anymore.

it's more like the quest line is doable at anytime

and as for Baxx and Sarkoor, Baxx gets taken by Oryx in Lost to light and you kill him later in Regicide,

and I'm assuming that Sarkoor is the boss you kill for the black spindle? (I don't pay too much attention to bosses names). He doesn't count because he is only accessible when Lost to light is the daily

which is why there isn't going to be a new leaderboard. higher light just means that times can still be beaten.

2.1 leaderboards were added (as flesh said) because some glitches were patched and times that used those glitches became impossible to beat.

it should also be pointed out that the spark of light is only available to players who are playing on a console with TTK installed (I think that's right anyways).

so if there is an off chance that a person just has the base game and wanted to get into speedrunning they would have an extremely unfair disadvantage on a level that they shouldn't have one on

But as I said in my very first comment though, I don't even think this mission should even be on the leaderboards because its theoretically just another "one time" mission similar to the firewall mission or whatever it's called.

Regardless, if the spark is going to be allowed though, it should be in it's own separate section as not everybody has access to it.

But to be fair though, isn't that technically using an exploit outside of destiny in order for you to have an advantage in game?

I don't have a problem if it becomes allowed, I just don't personally think that it should be, as a personal opinion.

Also, another reason I bring this up, is can you do this for ps3/360/ and XBone as well? If it can then I'll give completely in and say go for it. it just wouldn't be fair if one trick was able to be exploited on a given system giving it an advantage over the other platforms.

I don't think it should be counted personally, you only get 1 spark of light, which means only one attempt at a speedrun, otherwise pay what like $30 or so, for a character boost (and that's even if it let's you boost a character post creation - pre a guardian rises. ( I have no idea how the character boosting works)

I also honestly think this level should be treated the same way as let's say 'first firewall' or whatever it's called and not be on the IL's list. considering that firewall mission is a one time thing unless you get that questline on another character, similarly you can never complete a guarding rises more that once on a character (unless i'm missing something).

Kind of a far fetched comparison I guess, but that's just my thoughts. having to create a new character for every attempt at this level is fine if it's going to be ran, but using things like spark of light shouldn't count.

Ultra Knight is just in Dreadnaught's patrol, it isn't in any mission

Should of made this a while ago, but if you have any questions about the game whether it be about routing or game mechanics, this is the place I will mostly keep my eye on (along with my twitch inbox, but I don't look at that as much)
