Nvm I’m stupid lol thought you were talking about windows still lol
@Bain8renn that is for JP, you can do inputs on consecutive frames on 1.0-1.001 windows but you have to release the first input before the start of the second frame
There is a Low% category, which restricts picking up non-essential items (Undyne’s letter in TPE) so if you are interested in a no punch card category, that category does exist while still having a couple of glitches in the game.
Not an expert on this one but I think I know what could be happening here. Livesplit uses a system where, if you skip but the total time for two stars is faster than the sum of those two golds, that time will still be used for the SoB calculations. Say, for example, that your canonless and wild blue splits are consecutive and each have a gold of 30 seconds, but you do a run where you skip the cannonless split but the time for wild blue is 55 seconds, livesplit will use that 55 seconds in place of the two golds. While this may not be what is happening in your case, this happened to me in a different game so that could be the issue. If you do not wish to have this happen, there is a setting somewhere in livesplit called “simple sum of best calculation” that you should turn on. Best of luck with your runs.
This can be accomplished by clicking outside of the game while wall humping and holding both the up and the down key. Then releasing the up and down keys once you have clicked out of the game. This technique is helpful because it allows frisk to grind for an encounter while ensuring that you are close to the room transition for after the encounter. This technique, however, doesn’t actually save any time over walking in place or back and forth right next to the room transition.
Hopefully this helps. If not, let me know and I can try to explain it better.
