I can't verify whether the PAL classic runs the NTSC version or not, but you can go ahead and check by running through Yoshi's Island 2. If you get a 360, it's NTSC. If you get a 364, it's PAL and you probably shouldn't run on it because the physics work very differently.
It doesn't really matter what other games have run-ahead allowed. SMW is not those games.
Yes, RetroN will be classified as emulator since it uses the RetroArch architecture.
Snes9x core is allowed; use the most recent one. Run-ahead is not.
I would like "Final Fantasy IV: The Darkness Within" categorized with FFIV as the base game.
Holding the button down wouldn't enter the level. It checks for the start of an input.
There are these cool little things called glitches that this game has. We don't need to grind at all in the 2 hour category.
I'm relatively sure that it was once set to "never expire" since I used the link back in July. Maybe the admins revoked the link during the security breach a few months back.
This is the closest we have. https://discord.gg/YagWPK
I ran into the same problem you did. I have not gotten the 95th and 96th exits. Storster, however, has. He luckily spawned both a key and keyhole, which is unlikely but entirely possible. I have considered making a 94 exit category in addition to 96 exits, but not replacing it.
could i get https://www.speedrun.com/smwhl set to a ROM Hack?
The reason for this being, at least to the best of my knowledge, that an item swap via chuck eat should always crash the game if you are small Mario. The current cloud setup, however, writes two bytes of ACE to prevent the crash. During orb, you have a fire flower so this isn't an issue. And since other systems handle ACE, or the open bus that Tina mentioned, differently than a SNES, it will not work on several systems, such as the Classic. Sethbling, however, has managed to install his jailbreak on Wii U VC, which would lead me to think that there would be a way to pull it off with an adjusted setup, but the current SNES setup, in theory, will not work on a Classic.
I never mentioned orb. Orb is a completely different setup, as similar as they look, and orb works on any system.
Yes, it's allowed. However, you cannot execute 0 exit or the cloud glitch on a Classic using the normal setup, to my knowledge. The Wii U setup may work.
