Hi, I'm new to speedrunning and plan on speedrunning an Xbox One game and uploading it. I have a few questions about the logistics of that.

1. Capturing the video/audio. I believe I have to get a capture device that plugs into my TV for this; any suggestions for a someone that doesn't know much about this or tech in general?

2. Timer. I have LiveSplit downloaded and all set up as my timer, but it occurred to me that it won't be in the capture. Is there an easy way (or rather what is the easiest way) to get it in the video with the actual gameplay? Or is it advisable/permissible to leave it out?
