6:48 implies any time from .000 to .999.
Yeah, exactly. Displaying .000 milliseconds would clear up that doubt. This feels important to me for top tier times. We do use the fact that it implies times from .000 to .999 on the lower runs of the leaderboard, by displaying nothing.
That’s why I said it’s preference. You see no aesthetic value whereas I see a lot of aesthetic value by having every time in that column being the same length visually.
Agreed
Anyway, regarding the actual suggestions here, there's a technical reason for why this currently happens that would not necessarily be trivial to fix. For milliseconds, 0 is the same as no value, so causing milliseconds to always show even when they are 0 would be incorrect for runs that deliberately do not list them. Having an option could be useful for games that always time to the millisecond, but many games only use it for some categories, or only top times, etc, so it wouldn't help those cases.
Yes I agree with you that this is not trivial. Fixing this issue would require some thinking to find a good user interface that is easy to understand, and makes it easy to choose between displaying .000 milliseconds and nothing (there are some cases when we want to be able to display both, even in the same category). Also while finding a good solution for the existing runs on the database...
But yeah. I get that this is a minor issue and that there are probably better ones to fix. Just putting my two cents, haha
For instance, in this leaderboard, we have two runs that end up with .000 times. These milliseconds are not displayed. Expected outcome would be to display 6:48.000 and 7:14.000.
Any opinion about this (minor) issue?
Ideally, we would have a way to only use centiseconds as well, as these are not used so often on the leaderboards.
That is due to you getting a run that went to Bowser 3 right before that one. Some data from the previous file you played on was left over, which made the exit level function glitch.
Due to this glitch depending on leftover data from previous files, to be able to use it in a speedrun we would have to count the setup time of the glitch (i.e getting to Bowser 3) which makes this trick useless.
To avoid it, make sure to reset your game after every run that gets to Bowser 3.
I could never get it to work using a .swf when I tried as well
Joden's 18:06 was retimed to 18:07, so that was the fastest time on iQue Video :
Hey, As you've noticed, the current moderation team is not able to verify runs in time, which results in pending runs adding up considerably, and huge delay between submission time and verification.
To prevent that from happening I will be adding new verifiers to the moderation list. So please contact me in this post or from Discord if you're interested !

A Discord Server about the Super Smash Flash speedrun leaderboards was created, as it will make for a better place for the members of the SSF speedrun/challenge community to discuss.
Here is a permanent invite link to the server: https://discord.gg/AGksX3N
You will have to be patient as there are a LOT of runs to verify at the moment. Please do not ask for verification explicitly until 14 days after your run has been submitted.
Hey there, I personally did not know much about Super Mario Bros X. speedrunning, I had no idea there was a community around it. I see that you're trying to get people to run the game so good luck on that, the Super Mario 63 community went through the same phase at some time, so I do see why you're posting this.
Though as April said, this isn't really the right place to advertize runs for other games. Both games being fangames doesn't feel like, for me, a big enough similarity between the two games so the runners of one gets interested in running the other one. Advertizing on the SMBX forums feels much more useful to me, actually, so that was a good idea. I think some people do that on the main speedrun forums but I'm not entirely sure, maybe you want to check that as well.
So yeah, again, good luck to you on expanding your community !
I don't think there's any problem with that
Then you haven't waited enough. Every submitted record gets approved at some point
Sorry I don't check this forum often, but yeah this may be a good idea. I don't have the time to implement it though. Maybe someone wants to do it ?
If people want to do it then I'll probably participate. We can discuss that in the discord server, it's more practical
Quick update: we have created the Challonge page of the tournament, register on there. It will start in around one week if there are enough participants :) http://challonge.com/tournaments/signup/zwDoNT2F8V
Well yeah if you really want to do it then you can, it's always good to hear new points of view ^^
