I... don't actually know. Might've been a by-product of constantly alt-tabbing out of the game window (to check Streamlabs/Twitch chat and LiveSplit) or opening Streamlabs' chat overlay (although surely this would be a more common incident as I often do this between loading zones). I can highlight and link the full VOD if required.
noted, i'll try and move things around for when i get a run i'm happier with LOL
It’s difficult to explain how to do it. Your best bet is just to get a feel for the track and work out when to bound and when not to bound. Once you do both circuits and both races on each, you’ll feel so much better.
Any version is allowed. I’m assuming you’re talking about set seed glitchless, in which 1.6.4 is used because newer versions break old seeds, and one of the best seeds happens to be on 1.6.4. Just remember, seeds always get broken with every new update.
This is the way I do it:
- Go into the turret room and shoot down the camera.
- Take the camera out of the room and place it in front of the button door.
- Open the door so that the camera gets wedged in the door, then step off the button.
- Go over to the door and, through the opening, shoot a portal.
- Shoot a portal outside and go through it.
- Complete momentum puzzle as normal. (I think you can do something with the camera that launches you but I’m not sure if that’s source unpack exclusive, but I remember seeing someone get launched across the room) If none of that made sense, watch one of my inbounds runs. It’s one of the few tricks I utilise.
Questions.
- Why have you randomly started convo in a 4 month thread?
- Why are you talking about run quality standards in a thread about the wr potential?
- Why can’t you just point your phone at your screen? Leave the camera end hanging over the edge of a table, play with your 3ds underneath that. Not difficult.
There’s no chance it could happen, England’s weather is... weird. What kind of weather are you hoping for in September? Rain? Because that’s probably what you’ll get.
If this was a game like SM64 (which is where I am assuming you got 240, 120, 70 and 16 coin from) which depends on collecting star coins, and could be glitched in a similar way, it could work as a category. However, as the game doesn't have that way of working (it's just a basic platformer, just beat the levels, the coins are extra), the categories themselves are rather pointless. They could just be added to category extensions, but then it's just another meme-y category that'll never be run.
The app has been renamed on the Apple app store and is available under the name "Color", with the same developer (Fortafy). As for Google Play, I have no idea.
I guess you could add it to your library as a non-Steam game and go that way, although I don’t know.
As a long-time member of the 'community' (if you could call it that), I decided to make a Discord server for all things Exit Path speedrunning. Hopefully, this will be helpful as quite a few game series' have their own speedrunning Discord servers. One game that I can suggest is Super Mario World. Run it however you want - long (96 levels complete), short (11 levels complete) or INSANELY SHORT (like 80 seconds short) however the game takes A LOT of practice, e.g. learning to use that annoying piece of crap, the cape.
