I admire your honorability in such a cutthroat category. I'm happy to hear the minigame comp may get a new run soon.
Nice run! For future reference, the timing we use in this category is what the in-game timer shows at the end of the levels, with what it stops at before any falls added on. That saves just over a minute from your submitted time, and brings it to 5:42.41. I hope to see another good run from you soon!
Aside from the deaths, very good run. Would've been within a second of the current record. Right now, we don't require audio for submissions, so no worries. You got the timing right, in-game time of level completion + in-game time shown during any deaths.
Since Roll's method of timing is the combined IGT of each level, you don't lose time in menuing or in-between levels. Could you play the levels in a world, or full game run, in a different order than 1-2-3-4-5? As far as I can tell, the rules don't mention an order in which you have to play them. You would just have to return to the level select after beating a level out of order to select the previous level(s) you haven't beaten, which wouldn't lose time due to using IGT. In most worlds the fifth level is the hardest and least consistent, at least for me, so I thought of starting with the 5th level and then once I get a good completion time completing the rest of the levels in the world. Is this allowed? Should it be? Fast Foodies, which is the only other category which I could imagine this could also be done, has a rule which specifically says you must complete Juice Hut before Sarepia Theater.
