Dug into the source code a bit, seems like there’s a random set value of the speed of all the submarines every time you run the track, with a 3.27% difference between the fastest and slowest. About a 2 second difference per lap between the fastest and slowest seeds. Not 100% sure, but would explain why sometimes Atlantis seems slow and other times it doesn’t.
