Hey!
i was just wondering after having a look at the rules for individual level speedruns, are we entirely trusting the game's track limit detection or are you guys verifying every run's cleanliness?
the rules being very straight forward (3 lines) i was wondering if you guys consider this speedrun.com page as just a leaderboard for rime attack (since the autolog servers shut down) or like an actual speedrun page
the game is very blind when it comes to giving penalties so i'm just asking before cutting chicanes at mach jesus.
hey!
just letting you know you don't have to make your car look stock, you can put on whatever bodykit the game allows you to (because xbox does not have modding support) just make sure your wheels don't visibly pass through the exterior of the bodywork and you'll be fine!
if you need any tips on how ot get faster times you can always join the discord ;)
i'm moderating the CarX Drift Racing Online page and can't save changes to the "what car was used" variable because of this error message. the game gets new cars with updates and i can't add them on the speedrun page.
I've made test variables that work fine then archived them (because we can't delete them anymore) I've also sent a support ticket 2 months ago and i've still got no response.
Anyone help?
I beat your time without meaty tyres with the evo9 but i messed up my recording :( i managed to get a 1:42:259
i moved the run to Unrestricted category as wallriding is banned in other categories ;)
hey i'm thinking of running this game as well, any tips on how to be consistent? i keep messing up jumps whenever there are some...
thread is outdated, the harmful rule change has been reverted sort of working on re-validating runs that were rejected because of it.
Penalty can be unreliable, i've had some moments where i had been given penalty by just being airborne a bit. But i agree with what you're explaining, your rules make sense and we've tried to come up with something similar ourselves. the rules have changed yesterday, we are aware of the situation and the consequences, the decision has been made in order to have a solid basis for the community and leaderboard to be built on, where no one would question why certain cuts are allowed but others not.
i agree it is detrimental for the current leaderboard but running a new track should be more encouraging now that the top spots aren't occupied by monster truck cars, respawn cuts and all.
but when you apply a set of rules it has to apply everywhere or else having a run validated wouldn't have true meaning.
point is: we switched from speedrunning to a cleaner time-attack focus where cars look right, drive right, and stick to what an actual IRL rulebook would be.
i mean kino is fine as long as you don't swap an engine in but NVA exists for the purpose of boosting your car so yeah, NVA showing up instantly make the run questionable to me
NVA is a mod that allows players to go up to 130% adh and also allows to AWD swap the cars and tweak the engine even higher that what Ultimate tune allows. basically a car enhancer.
i mean i hate beeing that guy but the current milton drive RWD record is looking real sus, racing line is bad, grip seems higher than average but i think i figured out the proof of this being a cheated run:
i just checked again and the car revs too high at the exit of turn 1, meaning the engine was tweaked with a mod. and guess what pops up un the loading screen after the run? NVA.
you guys can check the flanker F rev limit on stock race tune and compare with maxed out modded racing tune with NVA, the car will bump to 9000rpm limit instead of something a little above 8000rpm.
to me this is sufficient proof for an already sus run.
the fact that you did this with keyboard blows my mind gg dude! great run!
