I was hoping to start running this game with my brother. Doing co-op IL runs and was hoping we could add a new category to be run. Realms? Instead of running the whole game it could be a fun run that would be longer than each level but not as long as a full game run. I think it could be useful to attract runners who want to try running this game without having to jump from IL to full game runs. Any thoughts?
Are there any restrictions to the level of your character or any items you bring into the levels for single level runs?
Its not even a matter of financial limitations as I am a grown ass man with a job, nor is it a matter of computer limitations as I built a top of the line computer and its not even a matter of not having the game because I do in fact own the game. However, I prefer the better graphics I can get on my PC running an emulator so I would prefer to run it on that. I agree with Mox that emu runs shouldnt be hidden with a community this small. Eventually I will buy a capture card, but I think since all the other games in the series dont have emu runs hidden by default it should be that way for this game.
Obviously you are still able to run them. The point I am making is running a game on emulator shouldn't be in a category that is not shown on the leader boards standard. I own the game but why would I buy a capture card when I can run the emulator for free? Maybe now you fully understand my point.
I have started recording runs both co-op and solo. My brother and I have been grinding the co-op any % and have obtained a time that would put us in 3rd. We have not submitted it yet because we both believe we can get a better time. However, we run on a emulator and I was curious if ANY rules have been put in place that would restrict us from bumping up the settings. Turning up anti- aliasing to 8x SSAA, bumping the resolution up to 1080p and turning on anisotropic filtering just to make the game higher visual quality. It seems perfectly harmless to me but I want to make sure there is no obscure rule about that before we continue to grind for 2nd and 1st place. Thanks!
I am reaching out to any of the TimeSplitters moderators to please add a co-op category like the other entries. Preferably an (any % co-op) category. Thoughts?
