DSi is just a slightly upgraded DS, so submit under DS like the other runners on DSi
We previously debated the best way to time ILs when setting up the leaderboard, and the current ruleset is what we settled on.
This is a document shared in the discord server explaining many of the rules: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1MGry2Tc3_GqgDbEeStwieIAbqyMjEkp8RB-51fNO98Q/edit
We haven't proposed any sort of "new rule"; I'm not exactly sure what that refers to, but we aren't planning on changing anything at this time.
pausing the timer completely goes against the idea of RTA/Single Segment runs so I and many many others in the general speedrunning scene are against these things; it also leads to unfair advantages if you can just take a "break" mid-run to calm nerves/gain knowledge/etc.
Most people use a phone/tablet camera when starting out, you can prop it on a stand or hang it off of a desk/table. It doesn't have to be perfect quality as long as you can make out stuff.
Emu being "easier to cheat" isn't the only reason, emulator doesn't have the accuracy that a console does, and the mod team/community just doesn't want unofficial ways to play the game on the leaderboard (which is why USBLoaders and the like are also banned). Precedents in rules like this one usually stick around.
Emulator has also been observed loading slower than console (I think this was mentioned), and the time that goes into retimes definitely isn't going to be put into emulator runs, allowed or not.
Support for an emulator board has been quieter than support was for the WiiU VC board, it just isn't very worth it to add emulator with its inaccuracies if 6 of the 7 emulator boards might not even get any runs (its also very common it is for people to already own this game, or at least own a Wii).
not exactly something you can speedrun because you'd have to get 001 on the timer in each level in order to minimize points, so you wouldn't have much variance in times.
(Also I'm personally not a fan of speedrun.com being used for "score leaderboards", it wasn't exactly made for something like that)
Carts like those are basically flashcarts, which isn't allowed for this leaderboard. You can still run the game without submitting however.
If you do want to submit runs I would recommend finding a copy of the game on ebay, they only go for 15 dollars or so. I would just look at this video as there are a lot of fake cartridges that have their own problems.
IT's really a mix of it not being an official release, not being as "accurate" as a disc, and the faster loads would be unfair in every other category and the majority of the any% leaderboard. So the community decided to just let runs on disc (and WiiU VC but no one uses that lmao) onto the board.
I don't think more categories will positively affect a board when almost all new runners are still going to run Any% lmao
honestly could see No Leaf working, but i don't see the Low% variants getting much attention so
