1.0 has first moon skip which makes it ~24s faster than 1.1 in Any%. If you buy a new version of a game there are 2 possibilities: you could get a 1.0 cart, or a 1.1 cart. You can tell the version of your cart by looking at the last 4 digits of the serial number on the back. If the last 4 digits are 0000 then you have a 1.0 cart, and if you never update your game, it will be 1.0. If the last 4 digits are 0001 then you have a 1.1 cart, and if you never update your game it will be 1.1. If you want to be sure you are getting a 1.0 cart, you can buy one used off of a service such as eBay, and ask the seller for a picture of the back of the cart.
I have created a sheet where we are compiling all the fastest clips for small segments of the game. Once we are satisfied with all of the clips we will splice it together into the best possible run. Currently we are at 1:00:45, but this is just the beginning. There are tons of strats still not used in the sheet and lots of unoptimized movement. Hopefully soon enough we will prove sub 1 is possible. Here is the sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1046y7aJqV-RK2ugMv9GttqQLiHvv-QoDuJo96vpyGZI/htmlview and here is an example of the splice: a 2:20 cap https://youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=oVb8nRXSbls
fpg doesnt save a framerule anyway and there is no way that anyone is going to do mavpole in this game
imo it doesn't really make sense to go for this. Whether or not you get the jump is dependent on how many pixels you get from the bump, which makes it luck based. Either do the jump the normal way, or don't do it at all. It is useless to add another luck factor to the run.
