For the moderator of this game, I wanted to toss this idea to you since me and another guy were sort of competing on this speedrun already.

The two types of speedruns so far seem to be this:

1. Just go backwards randomly and hope it goes to the next floor and keep doing that until you do a fast run. This is not my favorite because it literally just comes down to luck.

2. Call out each anomaly as you are running it. This adds a real challenge, so not only are you speeding through and obviously still a bit of luck depending on what you get, you also have to be knowledgeable enough to see the anomaly and call it out.

The other guy I was competing against stopped playing and moved on to other games, but I do own the current record for running it and calling out anomalies. This was also after 2.0 happened so it has 80 anomalies I believe?

Either way, hope this is something you'd be up for, I'd love to submit my run for this!

Awesome, thanks for the info! I'll keep that in mind when I play it again tomorrow. Looking at it, which part did I fail? The second time it appeared? That seems to be the one where I didn't move right away.

Was watching my newest run compared to the fastest and I noticed that during the song at the end, their song is actually...shorter than mine? Is it because I am not "on beat" with the song? Does that actually change it? Or is it just random?

Already posted the thread on said game, but I doubt anyone will see that. I've been wanting to do American Arcadia and I'm finally about to start when I saw a second person did the run about 5-6 minutes quicker than the previous guy. Thought hey, let's watch and see if maybe he found some skips or anything. Turns out, and they talk about this constantly through the video, they went in and removed many cutscenes in the game. Multiple times it requires him to basically quit to the main menu and continue to get the game to proceed, otherwise it stays as a black screen.

As far as I can tell, that's not something that's allowed? If you do something in game that gets a cutscene to not activate then you're fine, but fully removing from a folder? That feels wrong.

If it's okay to do, then that means I need to go and find each one they did and remove them myself lol.

I see there's only two runs on youtube and the current fastest one the person flat out said they deleted the cutscenes from the folder itself to remove them. Just wondering, is that allowed? Should I just go through and delete the same ones then if so? I thought the only thing you can do is what you're allowed to skip in game, not deleting actual files.
