I turned off teleport requests during the run, so whether I remove the friend or not doesn't matter.
Yes to summoning, no to events. Doing runs during Toonfest is fine, as long as you don't buy any experience boosters or anything that would be beneficial to the run.
I meant to bring this up a while ago but... it says in v1.3.1.9 that they 'temporarily' disabled content sync in facilities, and it is still currently ongoing. Until further notice, please refrain from submitting facility runs as they would become invalid as soon as it's been reverted. Sorry for the inconvenience.
It should work now. I think I fixed it before but I forgot to set it to be permanent and then it died again lol
A total of 6 new categories and 29 new subcategories have been added! These can all be found in the miscellaneous section. Enjoy!
• Fishing (6) • Golfing (4) • Trolley (10) • Racing (5) • Achievements (4) • Sad%
Additional info: • "Any%" and "100%" subcategories for playgrounds have been renamed to "All Toontasks" and "All Toontasks + Sidetasks" respectively. • An "All Sidetasks" subcategory has also been created for the playground categories. • Renamed all playground categories to no longer have "Toontasks" included in their name. • Condensed "8/9 Hidden Nameplates" and "All Hidden Nameplates" into a single category and all existing runs have been merged into newly created subcategories that go with it. • Rules for all new and existing subcategories in the full game leaderboard have been updated and cleaned up.
As requested by some of you, a subcategory for v1.3 and beyond has been created and set as the default for all categories (excluding managers). To what may be your displeasure however, this means most of the leaderboards will look empty for now until more 1.3+ runs pile up as time goes on.
Additionally, all existing runs that were submitted before the 1.3 update have been condensed into its own subcategory, which now basically acts as an archive. To view pre-1.3 runs, simply click the last dropdown under your category of choice (it should say "1.3+") and click "Pre 1.3".
Just because a single person has done a run doesn’t always mean we will instantly make a category for it. We would also prefer not to add any categories where the run would take so many hours, especially since all categories use RTA timing which would disallow for pausing the run or taking a break and coming back to it later.
We have officially opened a brand new server dedicated to TTR/TTCC speedrunning! Everyone is welcome to join, whether you like to do runs or just enjoy watching them. We'll generally be talking about strategies for various categories, all kinds of ways to optimize runs and save time, and we're more than happy to help new runners get started if they're interested in doing runs. See you there!

That’s perfectly fine. Just make sure you’re doing absolutely everything solo (excluding certain cog buildings/facilities with random toons) and I would suggest encouraging your viewers not to help you with anything in the run whatsoever. This category is pretty irrelevant in terms of competition and almost never gets any attention anyway so I don’t think it would hurt to stream it solo especially when your community is not really big on the game.
You probably timed it at the wrong frame rate. It would be 11.400 if it was at 30 fps but it's actually 60, making it 11.383.
Ok I'll allow that, but... that hardly saves time. lol
Would you mind posting a clip here that demonstrates it? I'm just curious to see how it's done.
If it has to do with clipping then it's not allowed. Something you can do however is a very simple trick that involves the stairs which lead to the warehouse battle, where with the right positioning and timing, you can do a backwards jump on the stairs and trigger the battle a few seconds faster. This is possible because the cogs' hitboxes are oddly expanded by a ton and they happen to infiltrate through the ceiling, so it's not actually a glitch. You can see several of the top runners using this trick in their runs so I suggest you refer to at least one of them to get more insight on the trick and learn about it. Also check out the game rules found on the leaderboard section if you haven't already!
You are allowed to grind as much as you can before starting any of the other playground's tasks as long as you haven't actually started them yet.
I just verified it and changed it to 100%. All good now!
You may use 'toonhq.org/groups' to have random toons meet up with you for any purpose as long as you're not using any other platforms (i.e. Discord) outside of the game to cooperate with others using voice chat or text. For solo playground runs it's kinda complicated because you can't effectively solo most bosses in the game without having people help you, and that's completely understandable. All categories are 100% uncompetitive and are pretty much just for fun, and even though finding people to help you with the last part of the run kinda takes away from the purpose of a solo run, I personally don't think it's a big deal, especially considering nobody has done solo runs of any playground at this point other than Toontown Central lol
This wouldn't work because you can't get all doodle tricks right off the bat when you make a new toon, and even if you could it would actually take quite a while, probably several hours. There are 8 tricks total and you would have to make your doodle do each of them 200 times successfully to max them all. You would also need to get a doodle with very good traits such that they make it more likely to perform tricks (i.e. rarely tired, always affectionate), but they cost around 6000-7000 jellybeans. You could get one from Toontown Central for very cheap, but it won't have good traits at all and you'll just waste a lot of time due to a much higher number of failed tricks.
