Could potentially lead to different optimal routes compared to regular any%. You would have to do mecha broodal casually though which is super gross. Is moon skip possible without the aerial cap bounce?
Logical kingdom progression would be to end the run in seaside or luncheon
So just get 124 moons as fast as possible?
@BalletGabriel If you have any further questions about the category ask in the discord :)
Dont shake up and down aggressively. slight flicks in the proper direction will do the trick for any motion control. If you are just returning from not playing for a while. It might take a little bit of time to get used to relaxed motion.
Guys chill out, this really is not a big deal. There are many capture cards being sold used on ebay for around 90$. That is where I got mine. Even if you dont want to spend 90$ on a used cap card. A decent webcam or actual camera placed in the proper spot is not a bad option either.
What is your current PB ? If not sub 1:20 I highly recommend grabbing both coin stacks in sphinx room and jaxi ruins chest . That should give you approximately 400 coins for the run. You only need to buy 2 moons . If you are still low on coins I really dont know what to say TBH
I did not find this. Like Lilkirbs14 mentioned already, this has been known possible for quite some time now, just without a setup, it was too risky. I dont know who actually found out that this was possible with 1P. I still can't do the jump consistently even with the setup LOL. It is just that hard.
1:02 was already in the works it just makes a 1:01 even more possible. The total SoB of top 5 runners is like a high 1:01
Just looked at 1st place vs 2nd place on snow leader board. It looks like this is approximately 7 seconds faster using a setup than 3rd barrier section.
So this was originally possible only in 2P runs, however recently someone figured out how to do it on 1P I am sure this is faster with 1st try attempt than the toad moon or having to go to the 3rd barrier moon section. The jump is really difficult. It looks like there is a tiny sliver of land to make it possible. It would be awesome if someone timed it to see if a route change is viable.
My consistency is like 60% but coming out of top hat tower, I do a jump dive, ground pound jump, triple jump off the edge of that hat. This part is really important make sure you throw your hat at the peak of the jump then cap jump. Don't hug the wall but make sure when you cap spin towards the wall you don't lose any height. Wall jump immediately and cappy will make a noise saying you got a good input. Cap dive towards the ledge. Bonus, jump then normal dive to the arena. Like I said not a master at it and most runs I do right side anyways just because my movement on right side is solid always GL.
I recommend practicing bosses missing cycles on any boss usually will waste more time than messing up movement in kingdoms. Presuming the mess up does not cause a death. If you have intermediate level movement, no deaths, and excellent boss fights, you are garunteed to get at least sub 1:15. From there you can look at smaller optimizations like spin pounds, left side triple jump, and 2d shortcut just to name a few.
I usually dont practice that much, except bowser kingdom and sometimes luncheon, wooded, and lost.
@Snowy Panda thanks for that forgot about cheese skip.
He's inJoJo I don't think it is patched because you can still roll clip. It seems a lot harder now.
I have decided to compile a list. So far I have Time freeze glitch Frog glitch darker side skip Talkatoo glitch ( I will personally miss this one) Glydon clip Gushen OoB seaside Dog glitch Wet nut glitch (sad this one had potential for a super human/eventual tas)
It seems most of the skips for speedrunning are still intact. I could be wrong I have not tried spinx clip yet. If anyone finds out anything post here thanks.
Valid point thanks for the feedback I thought going to the side of the wall was slower that's why I keep trying to go over it. What do I know though 1:13:09 isn't that great just good. I only though koopa freerunning leaderboards because I find it hard to find videos of fast kfrs there are a few but not that many.
So I have been doing the bowser kingdom koopa freerunning and my time currently is a 1:13:09 which is a good time, however the wall at the beginning is a pain to get over. 90% of the time I bonk on That wall and even if I get over it sometimes I don't get the max distance which is really annoying and slow. Any tips or advice? Also we should really considering adding a koopa freerunning leaderboards to the level leaderboards IMO.
